Allison
Walters

Allison set up Awscape in 2018. She is a chartered landscape architect with over 19 years experience within landscape design and landscape planning. A first degree in environmental biology, a background in nature conservation and landscape management, and her passion to live more sustainably, Allison combines these skills with her landscape architectural experience. She likes to include water and wildlife within the landscape framework of developments to bring people closer to nature.

Allison believes that nature needs to thrive alongside people. We cannot live in isolation of nature as humans are part of that natural process and so nature is essential for our mental and physical health. She has a passion to lead a change in the way we perceive nature in new and existing spaces and would like to see natural processes become highly ranked in our urban environment to create a world where everyone can breathe.

Allison would like to think she is a party animal, but she actually enjoys a good book, good music, good walks with her dogs, good company, good food and gardening. Occasionally she will go wild on the dance floor (i.e. kitchen) to 90s dance or a bit of rock to the great amusement of her three children. She can also be found tinkling on the piano, or leading a group of 8-10 year olds doing all sort of cubs activities.

Fran
Keith

Fran has become the latest member of the Awscape team. Fran has worked in various roles within the landscape industry for past 30 years, from landscape design and landscape planning to project management. Fran found her passion for landscapes through conservation work, landscape architecture, being brought up on the rugged Cornish coast and being dragged around the great outdoors as a kid.

Fran believes there is a need to develop ecological relationships between landscapes and the areas we live and work, to integrate natural environments into our everyday lives. Fran looks to bring together her design skills and environmental knowledge to provide solutions to each project, to create sustainable landscapes that will protect and enhance the natural environment.

Like Allison, Fran would like to think that she’s a party animal but is more likely to be found in her campervan with her dog Betty, sitting under the stars enjoying the peace and quiet with a good book and a wee dram.
